MOIGE How did being a Young Ambassador make you feel, and what valuable lessons have you gained from the experience?
TeamItalia Being a Young Ambassador has led me to bond more with my classmates, to be more informed on all the topics concerning the online network and real events. I feel proud to be able to be a point of reference for all those who are looking for one, I am happy to be able to advise my friends and acquaintances on these significant topics. The greatest lesson is perfectly captured in a quote from John Lubbock: “The important thing is not so much that every child should be taught, but that every child should be given the desire to learn.” Precisely what our teachers did with us by giving us this task, giving us the desire to learn and the possibility of giving it to others too. This will be my goal as a Young Ambassador. When I was chosen as a young ambassador, a spark really lit up in my heart, I was very happy and for this reason I decided to seize this opportunity quickly to be able to support young people who are in difficulty and I will also do my utmost to be able to demonstrate to be worthy and up to a very important role for our society. From this experience I learned that communication and responsibility are two indispensable key words to be able to address the problems present in modern society and that above all children need a supporting pillar that supports them and understands them as they need to be put in a situation of deep empathy but this experience has just begun and I am sure that over time it will teach me many more lessons. Being a Young Ambassador makes me feel more responsible towards others and from the few lessons I have learned how to protect myself but also my peers from the dangers of the virtual world. It made me feel a great responsibility as I can be a point of reference for kids my age, to whom I can pass on the notions I have learned Being a young ambassador means a lot to me. It's a great responsibility because you become a point of reference for all the kids who may find themselves in difficulty. Be available and ready when they ask you for help. Thanks to this association I learned that you should never judge a person because you never know what they are going through or what problems they have, but rather to understand them and help them. When I discovered that my Italian teacher chose me as a Young Ambassador, my eyes lit up and that I can be more than a single identical dot, I could make a difference and be a bigger dot. One of the lessons I learned is that even in a bully there can be some good because perhaps his sense of evil is linked to thoughts or behaviors that happen outside of school. Being a Young Ambassador has led me to have more confidence and more responsibility. I learned that the internet is very dangerous and instead of being our "friend", it is our first bully! Being a young ambassador made me feel "important", happy, interested and many other emotions. From this experience I learned that anyone who is in difficulty must be helped, but even those who want to vent or simply talk must be listened to. I already knew all this but after this experience we need to do it even more so that we can save lives Being a young ambassador made me feel and continues to make me feel like an active member of this company that fights for a very important cause, but also "useful" in case someone needs help. I definitely learned from this experience several pieces of news on the phenomenon of bullying, but as well as theoretical notions, they were those practices, and the different ways of intervening, which have made this path a real personal growth. Being a young ambassador makes me feel like a point of reference. Since I've been nominated, I am seriously committed to everything I do, from school to school interpersonal relationships and thanks to the MOIGE project I understood that there is a solution to every problem, even when there is only darkness in front of us.
